Why should you come to XUG 2020?

Registration is now open for XUG 2020, our very first online eXtyles User Group meeting!

Here’s what’s different about this year’s XUG, and why we think you should join us for the 16th annual XUG and to celebrate eXtyles’s 20th anniversary.

Obstacles and opportunities: Reinventing XUG

Like almost everything else that’s happened in 2020, XUG Online wasn’t our original plan. But we’ve decided to lean into it and take advantage of the things we can do in an online space that might not have been possible in person.

Come to XUG wherever you are!

The bad news is, you can’t come to Boston. The good news is, you don’t have to! That means no packing, no travel or accommodation costs, no airport security screening, no traffic … In fact, you don’t even have to attend in real time! (Though we hope you can.)

Register for XUG and we’ll send you links to log in and participate in XUG as it happens, as well as links to watch the presentations after the fact, on your own schedule, from wherever you are in the world.

Whether you’re attending in real time or on your own time, we encourage you to join the conversation on Twitter, using the hashtag #XUG2020!

Hear the eXtyles stories you normally wouldn’t

We love seeing our frequent XUG attendees every year, but one big advantage of this year’s XUG Online is that because it’s more accessible, we’ll get to see and hear from a wider range of eXtyles customers and partners.

For example, on this year’s agenda you’ll find 5-minute “flash talks” from eXtyles customers all over the world, as well as sessions on topics particularly relevant to eXtyles end users. And don’t worry—you’ll still have opportunities during our social breaks to interact informally with other eXtyles customers and with Inera staff! (If you’d like to be included in the flash presentations, feel free to reach out to Liz Blake with your pitch!)

Find out what’s new and what’s next

Some things will be new or different at this year’s XUG, but we’ll still be updating attendees on what we’ve been up to, announcing new features and upcoming development projects, and offering our take on the state of our industry!

You’ll also hear from presenters who have been on the front lines of managing COVID-19 research outputs and get insights into managing an eXtyles workflow distributed across multiple work sites.

eXtyles customers > custom M&Ms

This year’s XUG will still have the most important element that’s made it such a fun and productive event over the years: our customers.

Whether you’re a long-time XUG attendee or attending for the first time, we hope you’ll join us on October 20 and 21 for #XUG2020!
