Bruce Rosenblum: 2020's NISO Fellow

The first NISO Plus conference, held on February 23-25, 2020, featured an awards luncheon in the tradition of the annual NFAIS conference. As part of this awards program, NISO also revived the tradition of NISO Fellows to recognize the ongoing contributions of community members. The 2020 NISO Fellow is none other than Bruce Rosenblum, who was honored for his long service and invaluable contributions to NISO, to the standards world, and to the scholarly communications community. Read More


Inera's Elizabeth Blake Receives CSE Distinguished Service Award

This award is given to honor people who have worked diligently to further scientific communication and who have made significant contributions to CSE; in Liz’s case, the Distinguished Service Award recognizes her work on the faculty of the Short Course for Manuscript Editors and her dedication to keeping the course up to date with evolving tools and technologies. Read More


Inera and CrossRef Win Top Prize at the NEPCo Awards

We are delighted to announce that Inera, in collaboration with CrossRef, took first place at the New England Publishing Collaboration (NEPCo) Awards on October 21 in Cambridge, MA. The NEPCo Awards highlighted achievements by two or more organizations working as partners, with at least one collaborator having a presence in New England. Inera's submission discussed its 14-year partnership with CrossRef, highlighting the creation of the CrossRef metadata schema, the integration of Inera's automated software testing and CrossRef's quality assurance procedures, and the adoption and expansion of the DOI standard throughout the scholarly publishing community. Inera and CrossRef Finalists for the NEPCo Awards 2014

Bookbuilders of Boston, a non-profit professional group that serves the needs of New Englanders working in the publishing industry, has announced that Inera, in collaboration with CrossRef, is one of ten finalists for the New England Publishing Collaboration (NEPCo) Awards. The NEPCo Awards will highlight achievements by two or more organizations working as partners, with at least one collaborator having a presence in New England. NEPCo judges will select three winning collaboration projects after the ten finalists describe their projects live on stage in rapid-fire multimedia presentations. Read More

The judges for the ALPSP Awards for Innovation in Publishing have announced the shortlist for the 2014 awards; these finalists include Edifix, Inera's new cloud-based bibliographic reference service. The finalists will be given the opportunity to showcase their journal or innovation in a rapid fire session at the ALPSP International Conference on Wednesday, September 10. The winners will then be announced at the Conference Awards Dinner on September 11. Read More
