In a session at the 2017 AAUP Annual Meeting in Austin, TX, Sylvia Hunter (Principal, All in the Words, and Communications and Marketing Specialist, Inera) co-presented at the session "Why Markup Matters." Sylvia's talk, "Contextual Editing Using Markup," focused on the editorial benefits of semantic markup of scholarly text in Microsoft Word, including enhanced navigation, find-and-replace, and complex automatic editing using tools such as eXtyles. Read More

Inera and Typefi at SSP 2017: The Four Roads to XML



Inera CEO Bruce Rosenblum and Typefi CEO Chandi Perera co-presented "Find Your Path: The Four Roads to XML" at the SSP Annual Meeting in Boston on May 31, 2017. When and where should you introduce XML into your workflow: during authoring, before editing, before composition, or after publication? Inera at the First SfEP and SI Joint Conference

Inera is delighted to participate in the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP) and Society for Indexers (SI) first joint conference, which will be held September 5-7 in York, UK. The SfEP and SI provide professional support to their nearly 2,400 members across the UK. At this event, Dr. Robin Dunford will host both an XML session and an Edifix workshop. The Edifix workshop will highlight the advantages Edifix can provide to freelancers, including increased efficiency and income potential. Read More
