In 2015, NISO announced a new project to develop NISO STS, a standard XML tag set for the publication of Standards. Derived from the JATS standard that is used by scholarly journal publishers, this new standard, ANSI/NISO Z39.102, is currently at NISO member vote and may be final as early as October 2017.

In this session, STS Working Group co-chair Bruce Rosenblum will give an overview of the STS project and the impact it will have on the publication, distribution, and use of Standards.
