The NISO STS Working Group announced today that the draft standard STS: Standards Tag Suite, NISO Z39.102-201x, has been posted at http://www.niso.org/workrooms/sts/ for public comment. Co-chaired by Inera CEO Bruce Rosenblum and Robert Wheeler, Director of Publishing Technology at ASME, the group has been working for the past 18 months to develop this “standard for standards”, aligned with JATS and designed to promote interoperability and increase options for co-publication and distribution of standards.

As part of the formal standards approval process, the public comment period opens on April 24, 2017, and will continue until May 24, 2017.
